Data Formats for Various Purposes

Data formats are computer instructions which specify the arrangement and sequence of digits, numbers and other characters to be stored on a particular storage medium. The most common data formats are Microsoft Office applications, such as Word and Excel. The Open Office suite includes several free applications too.
